One of the great Atlas mysteries is the construction of water pipes. This article is intended to give you an overview of the best way to secure your fresh water supply. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You need to differentiate whether you have access to a fresh water source or whether the water comes from a reservoir or water tower. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Water supply from fresh water source<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

If your island has a fresh water source, you don't need to worry about how to get water and your future water consumption doesn't matter either. For players who plan to produce large quantities of food, it is therefore advisable to use a fresh water source. To find an island with a fresh water source, you can consult our resource map. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To tap into a source of fresh water, you can build your own Smithy<\/a> first a few pipes and go to your fresh water source. You then take the pipe and switch to the R+ Underground Water Pipe via \"T\" and place it underwater. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continue working with the R+ Underground Water Pipe and use it to draw a trail to your destination. You can see from the blue marking whether the connection can be established.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If everything went well, the placed R+ Underground Water Pipe is labeled \"Water Source\". <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to install a water connection in your house, we recommend working with the R+ Indoor Water Pipes. From these you can then continue with normal R+ Straight Water Pipes. These are then the perfect height to place a barbecue on, for example. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to place a barbecue in a house, it is always advisable to build the barbecue first and then the roof, otherwise there may be problems with the snap points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Water supply through water reservoirs<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

As not every island has fresh water sources, you have the option of securing your water supply via water reservoirs. The water tower or water reservoirs are available in 2 versions for this purpose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the one hand, these water reservoirs collect rainwater and on the other, they draw water from the ground if there is groundwater in the soil. It is therefore advisable to consider where to place the water storage tanks. When placing the water reservoirs, you are shown how tolerable any existing groundwater reserves are. Sometimes a few meters can make a decisive difference. If everything went well, the water reservoir is marked as \"Irrigated\" and generates water. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To transport the water to its destination, you can now work with the normal Straight Water Pipes. To bridge longer distances, it is recommended to use the Long Range Underground Connection Pipe. To use this, a connection must first be established between a Straight Water Pipe and a Long Range Underground Connection Pipe via a Flexible Water Pipe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can then draw a track with the Long Range Underground Connection Pipes to your destination. As the Long Range Underground Connection Pipes are not compatible with the Underground Connection Pipes and the Indoor Water Pipes, straight water pipes must be used again from the last Long Range Underground Connection Pipe. A Flexible Water Pipe can also be used to establish a connection to a grill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
