Settling and claiming islands

Where can I build?

The RA world is basically very large. There are countless islands and there are almost always free building sites available. It is best to keep a generous distance from other people's buildings, this helps to avoid disputes and also gives you enough room to maneuver. Rule of thumb: if you can see it, you are too close.

Above all, note that the construction blockade in and under water is much higher than outside. If you build too close to your neighbor, this can also lead to mutual blockades. In the worst case scenario, both of you will no longer be able to build and we admins will then have to force the person who joined later to move on.

Also pay attention to where you build. Delivering rare resources is prohibited. For example, if an island only has 3-4 metal deposits, do not build your buildings there of all places.

Building in C3 (apart from your House) and on Powerstone Islands is prohibited. You can build short-term structures on Powerstone Islands, such as dragon cages. Note, however, that these disappear within a few hours.

Can I build on claimed islands?

In principle, you can build on ANY island that is not a powerstone island, including those that are claimed. However, it is advisable to talk to the islanders beforehand. Most of them will be very happy to talk to you about building sites. Simply building somewhere tends to be rather rude and harbors the potential for conflict.

However, it is not forbidden as long as you leave enough distance (see above: line of sight) and do not use up valuable resources. If you have any doubts as to whether something is rare, just ask.

How can I claim an island?

First of all, you have to choose a free island that you like and that nobody has claimed yet. It is not possible to take over islands that have already been claimed. Place your flag at the desired location. When you try to place a flag, you will also be shown how much gold and island points you need. The displayed gold price is deducted directly from the flag every 12 hours to maintain the claim.

You receive island points per member of your company. The notation 0 of 57 does not mean that you have no island points, but that you have used up 0 points.

And what about taxes? You can find out here.
