Rares

Rumors circulate around the world, every sailor knows them - the legendary rarities of the animal world.
They should be special, eye-catching and above all rare.
Each with its own peculiarity, each with its own special feature - The Rares.

Rares are special animals that only appear for a period of 3 hours. Whether there is a rare in the grid can be checked with /rare in the chat.

The respective rare can appear throughout the grid. Except for Seahorses, Deepseasharks and Crabs, which can only be found in the Trench. However, this does not mean that they cannot swim out of the trench!

The appearance and disappearance of a rare, whether due to death or the expiry of the 3-hour timer, is indicated by a message in the grid. There is also a separate channel for this in the Radioactive Discord.
On the server it is allowed to catch 7 rares in a period of 7 days.
The number of rares caught is on the Ranking of the UI.
If you catch an 8th, the admin team will personally take care of the disposal (known rare destroyers are Satorian and Abuskar).

There are a large number of different rare species.
In addition to the various color features, such as Highlighted, Colorful, Shady, and so on, there are also effects that influence various aspects:
It should be noted that although colors and stats are transferred when breading, the effects are not transferable.

Sturdy:

The special feature of a sturdy animal is the reduced damage it suffers. Visually, it is not so easy to distinguish from a normal animal, as it is just a little bigger.

Small:
The feature in this case is the increased speed (+15%), visually it is a bit smaller.

Beta:
A Beta-Rare has an increased damage output (15%) and damage input (15%). It can also be easily recognized by its glow.

Efficient:
The Efficient Rare is a popular specialty - it farms 25% more resources than its normal counterparts. It can be recognized by a light blue shimmer that surrounds it like a small cloud. (Or large cloud, depending on the animal)

Fiery:
You'll never be cold again! This rare, surrounded by a striking red-orange glow, heats up its immediate surroundings.

Frozen:
It's unlikely to get too hot with this animal. The Rare surrounded by ice cools the environment, comparable to the effect of two Iceboxes! There is also "Pooped Ice", but hey. Ice is ice!

Bearing:
Strong for two! A Bearing-Rare, recognizable by a white light, has an increased carrying capacity of 50%.

Enduring:
More persistent than any other animal, this rare has an increased Stamina value (+50%). The green glow immediately signals the find.

Resilient:
No more losing fights? Perhaps not promised with a Resilient, but with the increased health value (50%) it's certainly within the realm of possibility! The reddish glow also looks good.

Aurora:
If you see a rainbow running, you have found one of the rarest rarities of all! Many myths surround these animals. Similar to an Efficient Rare, it is said to be able to farm more (+20%), but do they really exist?

Plague:
Who hasn't heard of the terrible disease of the plague? And then there are animals that carry this evil with them! A green cloud around the animal betrays the disaster. It is said that only its owners will meet the terrible death. But you can quickly collect shit for fertilizer while you're dying like this (or so I've heard).
If you do want to save yourself, Obara Stew will give you a quick cure!

Ghostly:
Is it there or not? A Ghostly rare, especially Aurora rares, keep the question open - is it there or not?
The effect is purely visual, but it means you can walk through these rarities as if they weren't there!
(In this case it is a ghostly beta)

Strong:
Recognizable by their blue-white glow and high game level, these animals are the stronger versions of their predecessors. However, this strength comes at a clear price: they cannot be mated.

Eggcelent:

The Eggcelent rares are an Easter surprise!
They only appear at Easter time and their effect is purely visual, like that of the Ghostly.

When these animals are uploaded to the stable and then downloaded again, they change color.
