Leviathan

What is the Leviathan?

The Leviathan is one of our exclusive bosses on the Radioactive Server. It is an extremely large and aggressive whale.

Where and how can I start the boss fight?

To summon the Leviathan, you need 5 Pearls of Power and 2 Icy Peals. The boss fight takes place in our boss grid in G3, which can be reached via a portal in the middle of C3.

Can I defeat the boss on my own?

No, unfortunately it won't work, no matter how good you are. At least 10 players should take part in the boss fight. I'm not saying that a well-coordinated, smaller group can't manage this somehow, but that would be the absolute exception. I even recommend 18 players, and will also assume 18 in the further description.

What do I need to defeat the boss?

The following requirements should be met:

  • 2 triremes with 12 ballistae each (200%+ DMG / 2000 shots) and the fastest possible engine (from 136% speed, better more)
  • 12 submarines with approx. 400 rounds and 100 Mythos
  • Hydra revolver for shooters with sufficient ammunition
  • One way to place submarines. I can recommend a disposable brig as a submarine carrier. Alternatively, the submarines can also be lowered into the water from the triremes.

How does the boss fight work?

First you have to go to G3 and start the boss fight. It is important to note that a maximum of 3 ships are allowed. The submarines must under no circumstances be in the water when you start, otherwise they will be destroyed. It is therefore extremely important to get the submarines into the water as soon as possible after the battle has started.

I can recommend a simple brig for this. Here you can add 4 submarine hangars and thus launch many submarines relatively quickly. Alternatively, the hangars can be placed on the triremes.

Phase 1:

The Leviathan spawns and becomes aggressive towards one of the ships. This ship tries to kite the Leviathan and travels with it through the grid until icebergs spawn.

In addition to the Leviathan, Harpies spawn that are after your ships. Each of the triremes should have a captain and 2 archers on board. The task of the gunners is to ensure that the ship is not hit by the harpies, otherwise a debuff will be activated which will slow the ship down.

Phase 2

Icebergs spawn in the grid. The trireme being pursued by the leviathan tries to lure it into one of the icebergs. As soon as this happens, the Leviathan is stunned. To successfully master the third phase, the submarines should stay as close as possible to the Leviathan. Don't worry, because the Leviathan only becomes aggressive towards ships and completely ignores the submarines. To make it much easier for the submariners, the captain who lures the Leviathan into the iceberg should announce in advance which iceberg is being targeted.

Phase 3

The great hour of the submarines has come. Next to the Leviathan, 4 portals spawn underwater. Whales swim out of these portals and try to reach the Leviathan.

The submariners' task is to prevent the whales from reaching the Leviathan. It is advisable to place 3 submarines per portal.

Seahorses also come out of the portals and attack the submarines. Note that killing the whales has absolute priority. If the Leviathan is hit too often by the whales, the ships are frozen and as soon as the Leviathan is awake again, they will most likely be destroyed by it and the battle is over.

A counter shows how many whales were able to reach the Leviathan.

Phase 4

As soon as all the whales from the portals have been successfully fended off, the damage phase begins. As soon as the counter turns red, the Triremes shoot at the Leviathan with everything they have.

As soon as the counter turns yellow, the damage phase is over and the Triremes should build up distance to the Leviathan as quickly as possible.

As soon as the Leviathan wakes up, phase 1 begins again and is repeated until the Leviathan is dead.

Is it worth all the effort? What loot is there?

In order to reach the maximum player level on the Radioactive server, defeating the Leviathan is absolutely necessary. For this reason alone, it is worth taking on the fight.

The loot itself depends primarily on the role you played in the boss fight.

The drivers of the ships receive a blueprint for a quality mortar, which can produce things like gunpowder or similar much faster. This blueprint can also be upgraded to unique quality via a grinder and the corresponding use of goods.

In addition, all participants will receive up to 2 Dropplet of Honor. With these it is possible to craft a Token of Honor, which gives you 22-26% crafting bonus on a craft of your choice.
